The instructor was Ms. Ayumi Ura, who has an extensive experience in human resource development in foreign affiliated companies and now independently provides training services mainly to large companies in Tokyo.

The seminar was held in English on 27 April and in Japanese on 28 April.

The seminar covered a variety of activities and offered the participants an excellent learning opportunity.

Ms. Ura expertly facilitated sharing the participants’ experiences and perspectives as managers on various themes and learning effective ways of giving feedback through role‐playing exercises.

In our company, employees from 20 countries work together and each business project involves many staff members.

Therefore, it is important to develop a harmonious working environment in which we work together to achieve our goals while recognizing and utilizing each other’s abilities and experiences.

In the seminar, the participants reflected on their own conduct and daily attitudes as managers while learning about more in‐depth management and leadership, including the difference between “task‐oriented diversity (based on individuals’ skills, personalities, etc.)” and “Demographic diversity (based on individuals’ nationalities, gender identities, etc.)” and its significance in pursuit of diversity and inclusion in our workplace.

American Engineering Corporation continues to support employee’s development by providing many kinds of training opportunities to realize our corporate philosophy, “creating a motivating and positive workplace” where all can attain a sense of fulfillment.
