American Engineering Corporation (AEC), headquartered in Ginowan City, Okinawa (President and CEO: Kenneth Mark Exsterstein) was honored as an Outstanding Construction Company by the Okinawa Prefecture Chubu Agricultural Civil Engineering Office on September 19, 2024.

During the award ceremony, AEC President & CEO Kenneth Mark Exsterstein and Site Superintendent Hirokazu Miiji represented the company and received the award certificate
from the office’s Director, Kagemasa Takahara.

Awarded Project Details

  • Project Name: Land Improvement Project for the Senaha District (R5-1)
  • Contract Value: 191.378 million yen
  • Construction Period: May 2, 2023, to March 28, 2024
  • Selection Criteria: The project faced difficulties due to the need to import rocks after the on-site materials proved unsuitable for stacking.

Despite this challenge, AEC completed the project within the designated timeframe by devising innovative construction methods. Additionally, proactive measures for weed control were implemented, garnering appreciation from the local community.

These efforts were highly evaluated, leading to AEC’s selection for this honor.
